Where is the child lock located on the Elysee?

The child lock on the Elysee is located below the rear door lock, on the side of the door. There is a protruding switch that can be toggled up and down to activate or deactivate it. Each rear door has its own separate switch. The child lock cannot be disengaged from inside the car; you must lower the window and manually open the door from the outside to deactivate it. When the child lock is engaged, the door cannot be opened from the inside and can only be opened normally from the outside. This feature is designed to prevent children from playing with the door handle and accidentally opening the door when unsupervised. The Elysee is a compact 4-door, 5-seater sedan under Dongfeng Citroen, with dimensions of 4427mm in length, 1748mm in width, and 1476mm in height, a wheelbase of 2652mm, and is equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission.
I usually drive the Elysee model, and the location of the child lock is very clear—it's on the inner edge of the rear door. When you open the door, you can see a small slider or toggle near the door gap. Simply push it to one side, such as toward the rear of the car, to lock the door. Once engaged, children cannot open it from the inside; it can only be unlocked from the outside. This feature is quite practical, especially when picking up or dropping off my child. I always double-check if it’s locked because once, due to negligence, my child almost opened the door while moving around in the car—just thinking about it still gives me chills. Although these locks are small and simply designed, they may accumulate dust or become stiff over time. You can wipe them with a soft cloth occasionally, but avoid disassembling them yourself to prevent damage. It’s best to have a technician inspect them during regular maintenance. Safety is a big deal, so make it a habit—don’t wait for an accident to regret it. Also, while the child lock position is similar in other car models, the Elysee’s is particularly easy to find, making it effortless to use.
