The cabin air filter of the Peugeot 3008 is located behind the glove compartment. Simply remove the glove compartment to replace it. The cabin air filter is one of the consumable parts in a car, typically requiring replacement once a year or every 10,000 kilometers. In areas with heavy dust and sand, it may need to be replaced every six months. In terms of exterior design, the Peugeot 3008 features more streamlined and rounded body lines compared to the imported 3008. Many parts of the car are adorned with chrome accents, significantly enhancing its premium feel. The family-style front grille and air intake look very robust. Regarding dimensions, the Peugeot 3008 measures 4428 mm in length, 1840 mm in width, and 1652 mm in height, all of which are improvements over the imported 3008.

As a long-time owner of a Peugeot 3008 for over five years, I'm quite familiar with replacing the cabin air filter. It's located behind the glove compartment on the passenger side - you'll need to remove the entire glove box first by unscrewing three bolts at the bottom and carefully detaching the damping rod on the side. After removing the glove box, you'll see a black cover plate with four plastic clips that can be pried open with your fingernail or a small pry tool to access the old filter. Remember to install the new filter with the arrow pointing in the direction of airflow - installing it backwards will reduce filtration efficiency. Changing the filter on this car is more troublesome than on Japanese models, but it can be done in about half an hour if you DIY. Replacing the moldy old filter before the rainy season makes the air from the AC much fresher.

Last time at the repair shop, I watched the mechanic remove the 3008's cabin air filter, and its location was indeed well hidden. You have to lie on the passenger side floor, unscrew three 7mm hex bolts from the panel under the glove box, then detach the damping rod on the right side of the glove box. After lifting the black plastic cover, the filter slot is actually divided into left and right sections! Moreover, the filter is a fold-and-insert type, which easily gets misaligned. While installing it, the mechanic complained about French car designs: 'This car's filter is three times harder to replace than a Volkswagen's. If you don't figure out the airflow direction and install it backwards, turning on the AC will give off a musty smell.' It's recommended to replace it every 15,000 kilometers, or even sooner in humid areas.

I just replaced the cabin air filter for my daughter's Peugeot 3008. Key tools needed: a short-handled Phillips screwdriver and a work light. Steps: 1. Empty the glove box 2. Press the clips on both sides and pull out the entire glove box 3. Remove the 4 clips on the rectangular filter cover behind 4. Note the airflow arrow on the original filter points toward the seat direction 5. Insert the new filter in the same orientation. The trickiest part was step 2 - you need to simultaneously press inward and pull outward at the glove box connection points. The old filter was completely clogged with willow catkins and dead insects, no wonder she's been sneezing so much lately. The whole process took 20 minutes, saving 300 yuan compared to dealership service.

The cabin air filter of the 3008 is located in front of the blower on the passenger side. The key tool for removal is a TORX T20 screwdriver. First, use the provided toolkit to remove the two star-shaped screws at the bottom of the glove box, then detach the fixing pin of the right support rod. After completely removing the glove box, you'll see a 60cm-long filter cover plate - pull outward by pinching the two top hooks. The filter slot has anti-misalignment ribs, but note that the filter's pleats must be installed perpendicular to the ground. Last year I found a filter with rodent paw prints, so I recommend keeping activated carbon dual-function filters in stock, especially effective when dealing with strong new car odors.

The first time changing the filter for the 3008 really gave me a hard time. Kneeling on the passenger floor mat trying to find the right angle, it took me fifteen minutes just to remove the glove box—that hex screw was in such a tricky spot, only a socket with a universal joint could reach it. When I opened it up and saw the dual filter slot design, I was stunned; turns out all models after 2015 are like this. Installing the new filter requires folding it into an accordion shape to fit it in, but the first time I put it in backwards, and the AC airflow actually decreased when turned to max. Later, I noticed there's a small car icon printed on the side of the filter that should face the rear of the car. Now that I'm more experienced, I can get it done in half an hour. Remember to have a vacuum ready to clean out the leaf debris in the slot.

How to Adjust Wiper Blades That Are Too Tight?

Adjustment method for wiper blades that are too tight: With the vehicle powered on, first move the wiper blades to the edge of the windshield, then power off. Open the hood and loosen the screw on the left wiper blade. Adjust it to the correct position and tighten the screw. Then power on the vehicle, and the wiper will automatically return to the lowest position, but a section will remain exposed. At this point, loosen the screw on the right wiper blade, push the left wiper blade firmly into the hidden position, and then tighten the screw. Precautions for wiper usage: 1. Regularly add windshield washer fluid; do not use tap water as a substitute. 2. Ensure the wipers are used only when the windshield is wet. 3. Clean the wiper blade rubber and any debris on the windshield promptly. 4. When the vehicle is parked for an extended period or in snowy/icy conditions, lift the wiper arms.

What to Do When a Car Tire Bolt Breaks?

If a car tire bolt breaks, you can consider welding a section out or slowly drilling the bolt with an electric drill and then replacing it. During daily driving, remember to regularly check the tire bolts and replace them if necessary. Generally, tire bolts won't break if a torque wrench is used; broken bolts are often those previously tightened with an impact wrench. To improve efficiency, repair shops usually set impact wrenches to maximum torque, which gradually stretches the bolts and leads to breakage. Methods for replacing a broken tire bolt: 1. Replacing a tire bolt requires removing the brake disc; 2. There is a trick to removing the bolt outward: not every position allows removal—there is a gap behind the wheel hub bearing, and only this position allows the bolt to be taken out; 3. Most vehicle models are designed this way. Once a bolt breaks, you need to replace it with a new one, either by cutting off the old bolt or shortening the new bolt slightly before installation. If none of these methods work, the wheel hub bearing must be replaced.

Are Semi-Slick Tires Slippery in the Rain?

Semi-slick tires are not slippery in the rain, but they are not suitable for use in wet conditions. The differences between semi-slick tires and regular tires include lighter weight, larger tread blocks, irregular tread patterns, and softer rubber compounds. After driving for a certain period, the tread surface becomes hot and softens. Semi-slick tires are essentially more performance-oriented products compared to regular tires. When the tire reaches a certain operating temperature, the semi-slick tread softens, creating high levels of grip. Compared to regular tires, semi-slick tires feature advanced tread designs that can achieve similar drainage effects. Due to their larger tread blocks, which increase the contact area with the road, semi-slick tires reduce deformation during driving, enhance vehicle handling, and allow drivers to gather road information more quickly.

What does 'mic in the car' mean?

Mic in the car refers to a microphone. The formal name for a microphone is actually a transducer, which is a device that converts sound signals into electrical signals. The term 'mic' is a direct transliteration from the English word 'Microphone'. Microphones in cars are mainly used for Bluetooth call answering and navigation voice playback, among other functions. They can be divided into three frequency bands: FM band, VHF band, and UHF band. The principle of a microphone involves sound vibrations reaching the diaphragm of the microphone, which then pushes the internal magnet to create varying electric currents. These varying currents are then sent to the subsequent sound processing circuit for amplification.
