The cabin air filter in the Teana is located beneath the glove compartment on the passenger side. Steps to remove the cabin air filter: 1. Use a plastic pry tool to remove the cover panel next to the glove compartment; 2. Use a T20 wrench to remove the 3 screws inside the glove compartment, then remove the 3 screws below the outside of the glove compartment; 3. Pull the entire glove compartment outward with force to separate the lighting fixture from the glove compartment; 4. The cabin air filter is located behind the air intake, requiring you to lean in to see it; 5. There is a clip below; open the clip to remove the cover panel of the cabin air filter and take out the filter. The Teana is a premium mid-to-high-end luxury sedan under the NISSAN brand, equipped with two engine options: a 2.0L inline 4-cylinder naturally aspirated engine paired with a CVT transmission, delivering a maximum power of 117kW and a maximum torque of 208Nm; and a 2.0T inline 4-cylinder turbocharged engine paired with a CVT transmission, delivering a maximum power of 185kW and a maximum torque of 380Nm.
I just helped a friend replace the air filter in his Teana. It's located behind the glove compartment on the passenger side, quite easy to find. Specifically, open the glove compartment door, and you'll see a small cover or clip—just gently pry it open. The filter is inside that mesh cover; once removed, you'll see it's a square filtration sheet. Doing it yourself isn't difficult—just apply some force to open the cover, but not too vigorously, to avoid breaking the clips. It's recommended to replace it every 12,000 kilometers or every six months. Otherwise, poor air quality can let in dust and bacteria, causing allergies or odors. Buying compatible filters online is very affordable, but remember to disconnect the power first for safety. Check it before seasonal changes, and the air in the car will feel much fresher.
