Audi does not have an AT transmission. Introduction to AT transmission: Currently, there are two models of AT transmissions. The 9HP28, with an input torque below 280 Nm, is mainly paired with small to medium-sized turbocharged engines like 1.4T, 1.6T, or even 2.0T, or naturally aspirated engines with a displacement below 3.0 liters. The 9HP48 is used in combination with turbocharged engines of 2.0T and above, or naturally aspirated engines with larger displacements exceeding 3.0 liters. Models using AT transmission: Besides the Honda Crown, there are also models like the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, Jeep Cherokee, and Acura TLX.

As a long-time Audi owner, I can confirm that Audi does indeed have AT transmissions. My first Audi A6 purchased over a decade ago came with ZF's 8-speed automatic transmission, which delivered incredibly smooth gear shifts, especially in urban traffic conditions - the torque converter design made driving particularly comfortable. Back then, many Audi models like the Q7 and A4 came standard with this AT transmission because it handled high-torque engines exceptionally well while being reliable and durable. However, newer models post-2020 such as the A4 or A6 have shifted to dual-clutch transmissions for faster response and better fuel efficiency. Technically speaking, AT remains a classic choice, but times are changing. If you're buying a used Audi, particularly pre-2015 models, you might still find versions with AT transmissions. Overall, Audi's AT transmissions left me with wonderful memories, though the new technologies are more appealing nowadays.

As an automotive technology enthusiast, I've studied Audi's transmission history. Audi does have AT transmissions. Older models like the 2012 A4 used torque converter ATs, which paired well with V6 engines for stability. However, modern Audis like the S series have shifted to S tronic dual-clutch systems, improving efficiency by 50%. AT transmissions are more commonly seen in Audi SUVs like older Q5 models due to their better heat resistance and load-handling capacity. Compared to newer systems, ATs offer smoother shifting and reliability as advantages, but come with drawbacks like heavier weight and higher fuel consumption. ATs have become rare in new car markets, though used car buyers may still find options. In summary, technology keeps evolving - while ATs remain classic, they're gradually being replaced by more efficient alternatives.

I commute in my Audi every day, and my Q5 comes with an automatic transmission, making it effortless and comfortable to drive without manual shifting. Audi does produce cars with AT, but not all new models use it. If you're asking about common models, older A3s or base versions might have AT, while newer cars mostly feature dual-clutch transmissions. When choosing a car, just check the specific year and model. Simply put, driving an Audi with AT is very easy and suitable for daily driving.

From a car repair experience perspective, Audi vehicles are equipped with AT transmissions. In older models like the 2010 A6, ZF's 8-speed AT is commonly found, which has low failure rates and good durability but slightly higher repair costs. Compared to Audi's newer S tronic dual-clutch transmissions, the AT is less efficient but more stable. This type of transmission is used in Audi vehicles with high-torque engines and offers lower maintenance costs. The current trend is moving toward more efficient technologies, so it's recommended to choose newer systems for better fuel economy and reliability. In summary, AT is a viable option in Audi but not the mainstream choice.

As an environmentally-conscious driver, Audi does offer AT transmissions but is gradually phasing them out. Older models like the hybrid A3 used AT for smooth driving, though it was less efficient. Modern Audi focuses on developing dual-clutch and electric systems, such as the e-tron's direct drive without a transmission to reduce emissions. Technological evolution has made AT relatively outdated, and choosing Audi's newer, more efficient transmissions is a better way to contribute to the planet.

How to Solve Car Gear Slippage?

Push the gear shift fork that is slipping by hand to test its positioning device. If the positioning is poor, remove the shift fork shaft and inspect the positioning ball and spring. Check whether the gear is worn into a conical shape, whether the bearing is loose, and whether the transmission shaft moves back and forth. Repair according to the standard.

What to Do About Motorcycle Abnormal Noises?

Remove the brake pads to see the limit spring plate of the brake pads, take out the spring plate, and use needle-nose pliers to slightly bend the curvature of the spring plate upwards to solve the issue. Abnormal noises caused by a cracked muffler usually can only be resolved by re-welding. If the opening at the tail of the muffler is too large, you can also use pliers to slightly close the opening.

How to Solve the Resonance Issue in Pajero V73?

Only the areas where the chassis armor is applied can be thoroughly cleaned, so it's necessary to go to a professional facility for chassis cleaning. After cleaning, simply spray a layer of chassis armor. The coating will alter the hardness, mass, and dimensional shape of the chassis components, thereby eliminating the resonance.
