The cabin air filter in the Malibu is located inside the glove compartment on the passenger side. Functions of the cabin air filter: It filters out dust, pollen, and other particulate impurities from the air; it provides fresh air inside the vehicle, preventing passengers from inhaling harmful gases and ensuring driving safety; it absorbs moisture, soot, ozone, odors, carbon oxides, sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, etc., from the air; it effectively sterilizes and deodorizes, ensuring clean air in the cabin and preventing bacterial growth. Replacement cycle for the cabin air filter: How often the cabin air filter should be replaced depends on individual driving habits, external environmental conditions, and seasonal climate. Generally, for urban household vehicles, it should be replaced every 10,000-20,000 kilometers or once a year. If the driving environment is particularly dusty or polluted, the replacement cycle should be shortened accordingly. Additionally, since air conditioning usage varies by season, the replacement cycle may also differ.

I've been driving a Chevrolet Malibu for several years, and the cabin air filter is located behind the glove compartment on the passenger side. Every time I replace it myself, I find the position quite easy to locate. First, you need to remove the glove compartment. After opening the lid, you'll see several clips or stoppers at the bottom inside. Press them gently to remove the compartment. Inside, there's a small plastic cover plate; push it open with a bit of force to reveal the filter slot. Pull out the old one and put in the new one, making sure the arrow direction faces the airflow inlet side to avoid installing it backward. I think this maintenance is quite important. If there's a lot of city dust, changing it every six months can prevent musty smells and reduced airflow from the AC. Doing it yourself saves a few dozen bucks, but don't force the parts to avoid breaking the clips. Checking it during routine maintenance can also protect the air quality inside the car, making driving more comfortable.

Will Clay Bar Damage Car Paint?

When used correctly, clay bars will not damage car paint. They are composed of ultra-fine fibers and solid adhesives that undergo repeated intensive mixing, giving them characteristics of being fine and sticky. Clay bars should be used with clean water or lubricant. Before cleaning the car body, rinse off surface dust and dirt with water. Knead the clay bar into an appropriate size and shape, then evenly spray clean water or lubricant on both the area to be cleaned and the clay bar. Use your hand to guide the clay bar in orderly back-and-forth motions across the cleaning area. If the clay bar leaves marks on the car, it may be due to excessive pressure, insufficient lubrication, a dirty clay bar surface, poor wrapping ability, or large particles on the paint surface.

Does Adding a Rear Spoiler to a Car Require Registration?

Adding a rear spoiler to a car requires registration, as it is considered a modification to the vehicle's appearance. If the rear spoiler is installed without proper registration, the traffic management department of the public security bureau may impound the vehicle, confiscate the illegal modification, and order the vehicle to be restored to its original condition. After the modification is completed, the vehicle's registration certificate must be re-photographed and replaced to ensure that the photo on the certificate matches the modified vehicle, allowing it to pass annual inspections and routine safety checks. The primary function of a rear spoiler is to provide sufficient downforce, reducing lift at the rear of the vehicle, ensuring that the car remains firmly on the road and maintains stability during driving.
