Where is the Altima's cabin air filter located?

The Altima's cabin air filter is located inside the cabin, beneath the glove compartment on the passenger side, near the left foot area towards the inner side. No removal of trim panels or glove box is required for replacement. Functions of the cabin air filter: 1. Provides fresh air; 2. Ensures safety and hygiene; 3. Adsorbs harmful substances; 4. Filters solid particles. Taking the 2021 Altima as an example, it belongs to the mid-size sedan category with body dimensions: length 4901mm, width 1850mm, height 1447mm, wheelbase 2825mm, fuel tank capacity 61.3L, trunk capacity 586L, and curb weight 1456kg.
Last time I bought a used Teana, the AC vents always had a musty smell, and I was curious where the filter was. After checking, it turned out to be right behind the glove compartment on the passenger side. When you open the glove compartment, you'll see small clips on both sides—just gently pry them open, and the entire glove compartment will drop or sag. Then, there's a rectangular cover on the inner wall; unscrew or pop open the screws, and you’ll find the cabin air filter. After replacing it myself, the air became much fresher. I recommend checking it every six months, especially if you drive a lot in the city where dust accumulates quickly. It also helps protect the engine from inhaling impurities, making driving more relaxing.
