The cabin air filter in this car is quite well hidden. I've removed it several times from my own Maxus D90 – you have to first take out the entire glove compartment on the passenger side. Yes, just press both sides of the glove box inward and squeeze, then the whole compartment can be pulled downward. Inside, there's a cover with three plastic clips that need to be pried open with a small screwdriver to reveal the filter slot. A heads-up – the filter slides in vertically with the arrow pointing downward to align with airflow direction. Installing it backwards will affect filtration efficiency. After replacement, make sure to firmly snap the cover clips back in place before reinstalling the glove box, otherwise it may rattle while driving. By the way, replacing the filter before rainy season effectively prevents AC odors.
