Motorcycle ABS sensors are generally located near the rolling bearing of the tire, outside the wheel hub bearing, and at the inner hole of the brake pads. Each wheel is equipped with an ABS system. Working principle of ABS: During braking, the ABS quickly determines the wheel lock-up state based on speed signals from each wheel speed sensor, closes the normally open input solenoid valve on the wheel that is starting to lock up, and maintains the braking force. If the wheel continues to lock up, the normally closed output solenoid valve is opened, causing the braking pressure on that wheel to rapidly decrease due to the direct connection to the brake fluid reservoir, preventing the wheel from completely locking up due to excessive braking force. This keeps the braking state at the optimal point (with a slip rate S of 20%), ensuring the best braking performance and maximum driving safety. Functions of ABS: Maximize the effectiveness of the brakes, reducing braking time and distance. Effectively prevent vehicle skidding and fishtailing during emergency braking, ensuring good driving stability. Allow steering during emergency braking, providing good steering control. Avoid severe friction between the tires and the ground, reducing tire wear.
