Where can I charge my devices on Harmony EMU trains?

They are usually located behind and below the seat backs. Charging sockets are positioned at various locations: Some charging sockets are located at the top near the headrest, while others are situated at the base of the seats. For instance, the power sockets on CRH380A EMUs are beneath the seats. On CRH1A EMUs, the power sockets are positioned above the windows (below the luggage racks). First-class seats have more densely arranged power sockets compared to second-class seats, mostly positioned in front of or below the armrests. Each business-class seat is equipped with a charging point, with power sockets located in front of the armrests. The arrangement of charging sockets relates to train models: On some older EMUs, charging sockets are installed at both ends of each carriage; whereas on newer EMU models, each row of seats has a charging socket beneath it. Additionally, first-class seating areas feature more densely distributed sockets than second-class sections.
Charging on the Harmony bullet train is actually quite convenient, with power outlets available at almost every seat. For second-class seats, check under the seat or behind the backrest of the front seat—they are usually hidden in the gaps. The outlets in first-class and business-class seats are more visible, typically located on the armrests or the side walls. There are also two or three outlets on the walls at the junction between each carriage, so you can head there if you can't find one. However, be aware that during peak hours, charging ports might be in high demand, so it's advisable to bring a power bank as a backup. After all, power banks below 20,000 mAh are allowed on board.
The charging ports in the train compartment are mainly distributed in three locations: First, the seating area. Look carefully under the back of the front seats or near your own seat. Second, on the aisle walls at the compartment connections, usually equipped with two to three three-hole sockets. The third and more hidden spot is next to the sink in the restroom, where there are also spare sockets. If your phone is running low on battery and you can't find a socket, don't panic. The Harmony train is equipped with USB charging ports in each compartment, mostly located on the side of the seat armrests or near the small tables, specifically for charging phones.
Every seat on the Harmony bullet train is equipped with a 220V power socket. For second-class seats, check the metal bracket under the seat. For first-class seats, simply lift the cover on the side of the armrest. There are also sockets near the washbasins at both ends of the carriage. However, pay special attention to the new Fuxing intelligent EMUs, as their charging ports have been upgraded to a combined USB + socket design, located on the inner side of the seat armrest, eliminating the need for a charging adapter.
