Fog lights are positioned below the front and rear bumpers of the vehicle, at the lowest point of the body closest to the ground. These lights are specifically designed for use in rainy or foggy weather conditions. Their primary feature is strong penetration through fog, making vehicles or pedestrians more easily noticeable in low visibility conditions, thereby effectively preventing accidents. Precautions for using fog lights include: 1. When visibility drops below 100 meters, fog lights must be turned on and speed should be reduced; 2. If visibility falls below 30 meters, fog lights should be activated, the vehicle should be pulled over to the side, and hazard warning lights should be turned on; 3. In weather conditions with rain, fog, snow, or heavy dust, fog lights should be used and speed reduced, but double flashing lights should not be activated.
