I always check the VIN. If it starts with a number, it was made in the USA—my last Civic had a '1'. My current CR-V's VIN starts with a 'J', meaning it came from Japan. It’s a mix, but most Hondas sold here are actually built here in plants like those in Ohio or Alabama. It gives me more confidence in the build quality and parts availability.
