What year are China III vehicles?

China III vehicles were produced between 2007 and 2011. The China III standard mainly applies to light gasoline and diesel vehicles under 3.5 tons, equivalent to the Euro III standard. The nationwide implementation date was July 1, 2007. Compared to China II vehicles, China III vehicles are more fuel-efficient, but this is primarily evident during long-distance and stable driving; for short-range operations, the impact on fuel consumption is minimal. The China III standard refers to China's third-stage vehicle emission standards, which are equivalent to the Euro III emission standards in terms of tailpipe pollutant levels. The key difference is that new vehicles must be equipped with an OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) system. The OBD system features increased detection points and monitoring systems, with oxygen sensors installed at both the inlet and outlet of the three-way catalytic converter. It ensures compliance by continuously monitoring vehicle emissions in real-time, thereby better enforcing the Euro III emission standards.
