What vehicles can be driven with a C2 driver's license?

C2 driver's license allows the holder to drive small and micro automatic transmission passenger vehicles, as well as light and micro automatic transmission cargo vehicles. The C2 license is limited to driving automatic transmission vehicles with no more than 9 seats and a vehicle length not exceeding 6 meters. It does not permit driving manual transmission vehicles, which is why most people opt for the manual transmission C1 license when obtaining a driver's license. The examination subjects and procedures for C2 are essentially the same as those for C1, requiring all subject tests to be completed. However, since automatic transmission vehicles do not have a clutch pedal and do not require gear shifting, they are easier to operate, eliminating concerns about stalling. The requirements for C2 examination vehicles include light automatic transmission ordinary cargo vehicles with a length of no less than 5 meters, small automatic transmission ordinary passenger vehicles with a length of no less than 4 meters, or automatic transmission cars with a length of no less than 4 meters.
To be honest, after getting my C2 driver's license, the car I drive most often is the family's automatic transmission sedan, like compact models such as the Volkswagen Polo or Honda Fit. It's quite convenient for daily commutes and weekend family outings. This license allows me to drive all small automatic transmission passenger cars and light automatic transmission trucks, including some compact SUVs or vans. However, it doesn't permit driving manual transmission vehicles, motorcycles, or large trucks, as the C2 license is restricted to automatic transmissions only. Why did I choose C2? Because automatic transmission is easier to handle during the test and more suitable for everyday city driving. But remember, the vehicle must be under six meters in length and have no more than nine seats. In daily driving, I find it much more hassle-free, especially in traffic jams where manual gear shifting isn't needed. Always remember to check the tires and brakes—safety first. In summary, the C2 license is practical and sufficient for daily use, but it has limited versatility.
