Five types of vehicles can use the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge: freight vehicles, shuttle buses, cross-border taxis, cross-border buses, and cross-border private cars. Cross-border private cars refer to vehicles with dual license plates from Guangdong and Hong Kong. Private cars without these dual license plates are not permitted on the bridge. To experience the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, you must complete the necessary customs procedures and take either a cross-border bus or shuttle bus. After the bridge opened, approved Guangdong-Hong Kong dual-plate vehicles from the Huanggang, Wenjindu, Shatoujiao, and Shenzhen Bay ports were allowed to use the bridge without additional permits (initially for a two-year period). The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is a bridge-tunnel system in China connecting Hong Kong, Zhuhai in Guangdong, and Macao. It is located in the Lingdingyang waters of the Pearl River Estuary in Guangdong Province and forms part of the southern section of the Pearl River Delta Regional Ring Expressway.
