A1 driver's license also permits driving the following vehicle types: A3 (city buses), B1 (medium-sized passenger vehicles), B2 (large trucks), C1 (small cars), C2 (small automatic transmission cars), C3 (low-speed trucks), C4 (three-wheeled vehicles), M (wheeled self-propelled machinery). According to Order No. 139 of the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China "Permitted Vehicle Types and Codes": The permitted vehicle type for A1 is large passenger vehicles, specifically large passenger-carrying vehicles, and it also allows driving the permitted vehicle types of A3, B1, B2, C1, C2, C3, C4, and M. An A1 driver's license does not permit driving tractors, motorcycles, or trams, whether they are rail trams or trolleybuses. Additionally, an A1 license does not permit driving special vehicles, such as small automatic transmission passenger vehicles for the disabled, which are only allowed to be driven by individuals with right lower limb or bilateral lower limb disabilities holding a C5 driver's license.
