What type of fuel should the Sagitar use?

For the 1.2T and 1.4T engine displacements, 95-octane gasoline is recommended, while the 1.6L engine can use 92-octane gasoline. Volkswagen Sagitar refueling process: 1. First, press and hold the fuel tank cover to open the left side. 2. Unscrew the fuel tank cap counterclockwise. 3. After removing the fuel tank cap, place it on the fuel tank cover. 4. Insert the fuel nozzle into the fuel filler port. 5. Begin refueling. When the fuel nozzle cuts off for the first time, the tank is full. Stop refueling to prevent overflow. 6. Do not immediately remove the fuel nozzle; leave it in the filler port for 5 seconds to allow all fuel to drain into the tank. 7. Replace the fuel tank cap and ensure it is tightly screwed on. 8. Finally, close the fuel tank cover. Emergency method to open the Sagitar's fuel tank cover if it won't open: 1. First, open the trunk and remove the cover panel on the right side of the indicated position. 2. Inside, there is a red handle. 3. Pull the red handle to open the fuel tank cover.
My Sagitar is the 1.4T version. Last time when I took it for maintenance at the 4S shop, I specifically asked the mechanic about fuel. He said the new turbocharged engines must use 95-octane gasoline, otherwise it may cause knocking and damage the engine. The older naturally aspirated engines can use 92-octane, but the most reliable way is to check the label on the fuel filler cap. Now I always fill up with Sinopec's 95-octane. Although it costs about 0.8 yuan more per liter, I feel the throttle response is smoother and the fuel consumption is slightly lower. Once I had to use 92-octane in an emergency, and I clearly felt the engine sound became muffled with weaker acceleration. I suggest you develop the habit of checking the sticker inside the fuel filler cap before each refueling - it clearly states '95-octane or higher unleaded gasoline'.
