If water enters the exhaust pipe after driving through a flooded area and the engine stalls, do not attempt to restart it forcefully. Immediately call for roadside assistance and wait for help. Check the electronic systems, remove any accumulated water under the car body, and then remove the spark plugs to drain some of the water from the engine. Have the car towed to an auto repair shop for servicing. If water enters the exhaust pipe, a simple cleaning and drying process will allow the engine to function normally again.
