Spray cockroach spray, also known as insecticide, into the corners of the car, then close the windows and wait for a day to kill the cockroaches. You can place cockroach poison or cockroach bait in corners where cockroaches might appear, such as door gaps, under the seats, and in the trunk, to lure and kill them. Cockroaches do not appear in clean places. Paying attention to the car's environment is fundamental. Additionally, the presence of cockroaches in the car is related to food residues inside.

Over the past few months, I've noticed cockroaches crawling around in my car. It's probably because my kids often eat snacks in the car, leaving crumbs in the seat crevices, or because the car has been parked in a damp garage for too long, providing a breeding ground for cockroaches. To solve this problem, I immediately did a thorough cleaning of the car's carpets and seats, wiped them down with household disinfectant spray, and placed some cockroach bait in the corners. After the cleanup, I developed a habit of emptying all trash from the car each time and avoiding leaving the windows open for too long to prevent excessive humidity. There was one time I forgot a half-eaten bag of chips in the car, and a swarm of cockroaches came, giving me headaches for days. Now, I also check the door seals weekly because prevention is better than cure. These pests can spread bacteria, so dealing with them early gives much more peace of mind.

As a daily commuter, finding cockroaches in the car is really annoying. The main reasons are usually bringing takeout or coffee in the car without timely cleanup, leaving residues that attract them, or parking under trees in parks where fallen leaves and stagnant water accumulate. I took immediate action: first, I used a powerful vacuum to clean out debris from the crevices, sprayed some cockroach repellent, closed the windows for half an hour, then opened them to ventilate and remove the odor. After that, I changed my bad habits—no more leaving food in the car and choosing dry parking spots. This issue can easily spread germs, and if they crawl into the AC system, it’s even worse. So I set a small goal: deep cleaning the car once a month to protect my health—no slacking off.
