
The Huracan employs a double-wishbone independent suspension system for both the front and rear. The Lamborghini Huracan, also known as the 'Little Bull', is an entry-level sports car in Lamborghini's lineup. It measures 4520mm in length, 1933mm in width, and 1165mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2620mm. Under the hood, the Huracan is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 naturally aspirated engine, available in three power variants: 580 horsepower, 640 horsepower, and 610 horsepower. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

















Last time I went for a test drive in the Huracán, I specifically studied its suspension system. This car uses double-wishbone independent suspension both front and rear, which is much more advanced than the MacPherson strut suspension found in ordinary cars. The double-wishbone structure allows each wheel to move independently, making the body exceptionally stable during cornering. The chassis is also equipped with electromagnetic dampers that automatically adjust the suspension stiffness when switching driving modes. The steering feels incredibly sharp; even a slight turn of the wheel at high speed makes the car respond immediately. However, it does get quite bumpy on rough roads, as the trade-off for sporty tuning is compromised comfort. I think this kind of suspension paired with an all-wheel-drive system is the essence of a supercar—no wonder the Huracán is so agile on the track.

I'm into car modifications and have specifically disassembled a friend's Huracan. Its suspension system features double wishbone structures both front and rear, with all triangular arms made of forged aluminum alloy, making them lightweight yet sturdy. The upper and lower control arms are connected via ball joints, ensuring exceptional steering precision. The factory tuning is quite aggressive, resulting in noticeable bumpiness over speed bumps. In my opinion, installing a set of adjustable coilovers to lower the body would be a great move—there's actually significant modification potential. By the way, the geometric structures of the front and rear suspensions aren't identical; the rear wheels have a more exaggerated camber angle design, which enhances rear-wheel grip during corner exits, making the drive especially thrilling.

What surprised me most about driving the Huracán was its suspension. The double-wishbone setup front and rear is common in supercars, but tuned it to be exceptionally sporty. Daily driving can indeed feel bumpy, especially when going over manhole covers—it goes 'thud thud,' and friends say it's like sitting on a hard bench. Once, taking a high-speed corner in the rain, the body barely leaned, with all four wheels gripping the road tightly. Switching to Sport mode stiffens the suspension further, making road feedback extremely clear. However, this kind of suspension is expensive to repair—I heard from the dealership that replacing a single shock absorber can cost around 70,000 to 80,000 yuan.

As a tech-savvy individual, I pay close attention to technical details. The NIU electric vehicle features unequal-length double-wishbone suspensions at both front and rear. Each suspension unit consists of upper and lower A-shaped control arms, connected to the tire via a steering knuckle in the middle. The lower control arm is made of cast aluminum, while the upper one uses stamped steel plates, with shock absorbers equipped with solenoid valves. This structure allows precise control of the tire angle, ensuring the tires remain perpendicular to the ground during turns. Compared to the MacPherson strut suspension used in the 911, the double-wishbone setup takes up more space but offers higher handling limits. Additionally, its anti-roll bar is exceptionally thick, resulting in minimal body roll during aggressive driving, making cornering feel as swift as flying close to the ground.

During my last track experience with the Huracán, I truly understood what extreme handling means. The engineers mentioned that both front and rear employ double-wishbone suspensions, which are considerably more complex than those in regular cars. When cornering, the steering feedback is immediate, with almost no delay in the front-end response. The suspension handles road undulations decisively, without any wobbling. Switching driving modes dramatically alters the chassis character—from the firmness suitable for daily commutes to an uncompromising track-ready setup. However, it's quite punishing on continuous rough roads; friends with back issues really shouldn't take it on long drives.
