What's the Difference Between Land Cruiser Prado and Land Cruiser?

There is no difference. Toyota Prado, Land Cruiser Prado, Land Cruiser, and Land Cruiser (Land Cruiser) may sound like four different models at first, but these four names actually all belong to the same model series, namely: Land Cruiser. Exterior of the Land Cruiser: The imposing presence of the front face mainly comes from the grille and headlights. The upgraded grille and headlights not only enhance the appearance but also exude power. The taillights are equally grand, and the rear hook is a signature feature of both the Land Cruiser and Prado, combining practicality with a sense of intimidation. Interior of the Land Cruiser: The wood trim is just right, the large screen is fully functional, the dual-zone automatic climate control is present, and the interior color scheme is elegant and unique, blending technology with artistry, creating a distinctive feel.
A couple of years ago when I was researching cars to replace my old one, I specifically looked into these models and found that Toyota's naming can indeed be confusing. The 'Prado' is actually the 'Land Cruiser Prado'—it used to be officially called 'Badao' (which means 'Overbearing' in Chinese) before the name was changed. It's a mid-size off-road vehicle with relatively agile handling. The 'Land Cruiser' (known as 'Luxun' in Chinese) is a size larger than the Prado, with a more robust chassis, almost tank-like. 'Land Cruiser' is essentially the English name 'Land Cruiser' phonetically translated into Chinese. The most notable difference lies in their off-road capabilities: the Prado is suitable for general overlanding, while the Land Cruiser's Torsen differential lock and KDSS system make it more stable when tackling desert rock crawling. Once, during a convoy trip into Tibet, a teammate driving a Prado struggled with wheel spin on a cross-axle obstacle, while the guy in the Land Cruiser just plowed right through.
