I've been driving my BYD Tang for almost two years now, and the range really depends on the situation. I have the hybrid version, and in pure electric mode for commuting, it can go over 100 kilometers, which is enough for me to charge just once a week. On weekends when I take the family out, a full tank of gas plus the electric charge can actually take me over 1,000 kilometers, which is incredibly convenient. When it's hot and the AC is on full blast or during rapid acceleration on the highway, the range might drop by about 10%, but overall, it feels reliable. For beginners, I'd suggest considering your usage—if you're mostly in the city, the pure electric version with over 500 kilometers of range is sufficient. If you're often on long trips, the hybrid is more practical since you can always refuel to extend the range. The spacious back seats are comfortable, and the kids don't get fussy even on long rides. This range advantage makes family trip planning much more flexible.

Car body. Below is the relevant introduction: Reversing into the garage: Reversing into the garage is a mandatory test item for obtaining a small car driver's license after 2013. It assesses the driver's ability to operate the vehicle in a designated area. Reversing into the garage is one of the assessment points in the driver's test. It involves correctly maneuvering the vehicle into the garage from both sides while in motion. There is a time limit for reversing into the garage during the test. Test content: Reverse from starting point A into garage B and park correctly; move forward to the return area C and stop; reverse from the return area into garage B and stop; return from garage B to A to complete the test. Evaluation criteria: Failing to follow the specified route or sequence results in disqualification; the car body crossing the line or failing to reverse into the garage results in disqualification; exceeding 210 seconds without completing the reversing into the garage results in disqualification; stopping midway deducts 5 points each time.

Should a New Car Be Equipped with an Engine Undercover?

It is recommended to install an engine undercover for a new car. After installing the car engine undercover, it helps maintain the cleanliness of the engine compartment and prevents water or dust from entering while driving, especially when the vehicle encounters a lot of mud or dust during use. Driving in rainy weather can easily cause corrosion to the car's chassis, and installing an engine undercover provides better protection for both the engine and the undercover. However, some rigid engine undercovers may reduce protective performance during a car collision, thereby lessening the protection for the engine. Additionally, some low-quality engine undercovers may have a certain impact on the engine's heat dissipation during use. The engine undercover is an engine protection device designed specifically for various car models. Its primary purpose is to prevent the engine from being covered with mud, which could lead to poor heat dissipation. Secondly, it aims to protect the engine from damage caused by impacts from uneven road surfaces during driving, thereby extending the engine's service life and avoiding car breakdowns due to external factors damaging the engine during travel.

Is Water Leakage in the Engine Compartment Serious?

Serious. Water leakage in the engine compartment can lead to corrosion of parts and shorten their lifespan. Here are the relevant details: Precautions for engine water ingress: When water enters the engine compartment, do not start the engine immediately. If the vehicle is on a waterlogged road, it can be pushed out to a dry area. Allow the water in the engine compartment to drain completely, open the engine hood to let the sun dry it out or use a blower to dry it. In short, the engine must be completely free of water before starting. Hazards of engine water ingress: Never attempt to start the engine if it has been submerged in water. If you do, even with flood insurance and comprehensive coverage, the insurance company will not compensate for the damage. The engine works by igniting compressed gas, and water is difficult to compress. Forcing the engine to start can result in severe consequences, such as bending or even breaking the connecting rods, leading to major engine repairs.

How High is the Temperature of a Car's Exhaust Pipe

Car exhaust pipes can reach temperatures as high as 800-1000 degrees Celsius. Below are the specific details: 1. Under normal circumstances: The exhaust gas temperature of small household cars ranges between 30-120 degrees Celsius. 2. After lengthening: The longer the exhaust pipe, the lower the temperature at the tailpipe outlet. Additionally, the higher the engine speed, the higher the exhaust gas temperature. When the vehicle is idling, the outlet temperature is only around 30 to 50 degrees Celsius. The temperature of the exhaust gas expelled from the engine to the exhaust manifold is 800~900 degrees Celsius. After passing through the front-stage catalytic converter, the temperature is 600~700 degrees Celsius. The temperature at the muffler mid-section decreases significantly, typically between 200~300 degrees Celsius, while at the tail-end muffler, it is around 150 degrees Celsius. After cooling through the muffler baffle, the exhaust gas temperature is slightly above ambient, ranging from 20~50 degrees Celsius.
