Principle of an automobile carbon canister: Under normal temperature conditions, the fuel tank is often filled with vapor. The function of the carbon canister is to direct this vapor into the combustion process and prevent it from evaporating into the atmosphere. Activated carbon has a certain adsorption capability. When the car is either running or turned off, gasoline vapor from the fuel tank enters the upper part of the activated carbon canister through pipelines, while fresh air from the outside enters the lower part of the activated carbon canister. After the car stops running, the gasoline vapor mixes with fresh air inside the canister and is stored in the activated carbon canister. When the car is started again, the electromagnetic valve inside the activated carbon canister opens, allowing the gasoline vapor to be drawn into the intake manifold to participate in combustion, thereby improving the car's power. To protect the environment, with the continuous development of automobile production technology, carbon canisters are gradually being used to replace fuel tank caps. The interior of the carbon canister is filled with highly adsorbent activated carbon, which absorbs fuel vapor and reintroduces it into the intake manifold. This not only saves fuel but also helps protect the environment.

I've been driving all my life and I'm quite familiar with how the car's charcoal canister works. Simply put, it prevents gasoline vapors from escaping and polluting the environment. The gasoline in the fuel tank easily turns into vapor, which smells bad and pollutes the air. The charcoal canister contains activated carbon, acting like a vacuum cleaner to absorb these vapors. When the engine starts, the system uses vacuum suction to draw the vapors into the engine to be burned, turning them into power and recycling waste. This not only reduces emissions but also helps the car save fuel. I've seen many cars with clogged charcoal canisters—when refueling, the nozzle keeps clicking off or the engine shakes abnormally, which might mean the canister is full and needs replacement. Maintenance isn’t expensive; just spend a bit to replace the canister. It’s recommended to check it every 50,000 kilometers to ensure it works properly. Don’t wait for major issues to fix it—driving more eco-friendly benefits everyone.

Is it necessary to depress the clutch when stalling the engine?

It is necessary to depress the clutch to avoid damage to mechanical components caused by excessive transmission load. Below is a detailed introduction about the automotive clutch: 1. Overview: The automotive clutch is located within the flywheel housing between the engine and the transmission, with the output shaft of the clutch serving as the input shaft of the transmission. During vehicle operation, the driver can depress or release the clutch pedal as needed to temporarily disconnect or gradually engage the engine with the transmission, thereby cutting off or transmitting the engine's power input to the transmission. 2. Principle: The driving and driven parts of the clutch utilize friction between contact surfaces, or use liquid as a transmission medium, or employ magnetic transmission (electromagnetic clutch) to transmit torque, allowing temporary separation and gradual engagement between the two parts while permitting mutual rotation during the transmission process.

When was the last batch of China III vehicles produced in 2014?

The last batch of China III vehicles was produced in July 2014. Introduction to China III Standard: The so-called China III standard refers to China's third-stage vehicle emission standard. The national third-stage emission standard is equivalent to the Euro 3 emission standard, meaning the content of tailpipe pollutants is comparable to Euro 3 levels. Currently, the maximum scrapping period for China III vehicles remains 15 years. Vehicle Scrapping Mileage: China's new vehicle scrapping regulations clearly stipulate that private cars must reach a mileage of 600,000 kilometers before being eligible for scrapping. However, many China III vehicles have not even reached 600,000 kilometers. Truck Scrapping Period: The mandatory scrapping period for light and heavy trucks is 10 years, but it can be extended up to 5 years. Therefore, the mandatory scrapping period for China III trucks is neither 8 years nor 10 years, but should be 15 years.
