There are two methods for keyless starting: button type and knob type. Button type: Press the one-touch start button located on the center console; Knob type: Simply turn the knob located at the original key insertion point. After opening the car door and sitting in the driver's seat, press the start button once to power on the vehicle and initiate self-inspection; Press the start button again to ignite the vehicle. For this step, it is recommended to operate while pressing the clutch pedal and brake pedal for safety reasons; After ignition, you can warm up the car in place for about a minute, then fasten the seat belt, press the brake and clutch to engage first gear, release the clutch and brake, and the vehicle will start. Method for keyless shutdown: Press the brake to stop the vehicle, shift the gear from drive to neutral, pull up the handbrake, release the foot brake, press the one-touch start button, and turn off the power to shut down the engine. Working principle of keyless start: It uses radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to automatically lock and unlock the doors through the chip in the smart card carried by the owner. When the driver approaches the vehicle within a certain distance, the door locks will automatically open and deactivate the anti-theft system. When leaving the vehicle, the door locks will automatically lock and activate the anti-theft system.
The first time I drove a keyless start car, I was quite surprised because it made daily driving super easy. The operation is as simple as bringing the smart key close to the car, and the doors automatically unlock; after getting in, sit down, press the brake pedal firmly, and then press the start button on the center console to start the engine. The whole process doesn’t require taking the key out of the bag, saving time and looking cool. However, it’s important to note that the key must be within the car’s interior range; otherwise, the system won’t detect it and can’t start. If the start button doesn’t respond, remember to check if the brake pedal is fully pressed or if the key battery has enough power—sometimes a weak battery requires replacement or using the backup slot. After parking, press the button to turn off the engine, and walk away—the doors will automatically lock, ensuring anti-theft security. This design is especially suitable for city commuters who are often in a hurry, but just be mindful not to leave the key inside the car. Overall, it makes driving smarter and more efficient.
