Last month I just replaced the ignition coils on my old Tiida. The whole process mainly consisted of several steps: First, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to avoid short circuits, then use a socket wrench to remove the bolts of the ignition coil cover plate. The four coils are fixed in parallel, just pull them out one by one. Apply some special grease on the new coil boots to prevent aging, and insert them vertically into the spark plug holes—make sure they're not crooked. Finally, tighten the bolts to 10 Nm as specified in the repair manual. Remember to start the engine after installation to check for any misfiring vibrations.
