Currently, there is no Ford eoge; it should be the Ford Edge. The Ford Edge is a midsize crossover SUV model with body dimensions of 4878mm in length, 1925mm in width, and 1770mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2850mm. In terms of tires, the front wheel specifications for the Ford Edge are 245/55R19, and the rear wheel specifications are also 245/55R19. For powertrain options, the Ford Edge offers a 2.0L EcoBoost turbocharged engine and a 3.5L naturally aspirated engine, while the sport version is equipped with a 2.7L twin-turbocharged engine. All models are paired with a 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.

I remember the Ford Edge is what we commonly call the Ruijie in China. This car has quite a presence in our American car circles. Last year, I accompanied a friend on a test drive. It's positioned as a midsize SUV with a wheelbase of nearly three meters—sitting in the back feels like you can cross your legs comfortably. The 2.0T engine paired with an 8AT transmission provides enough power for city driving, but don't expect any thrilling acceleration. Fuel consumption is around 11 liters per 100 km. The SYNC+ infotainment system is much smarter than the older version, though the voice recognition can occasionally glitch. The suspension is tuned for comfort, so it doesn’t feel too bumpy over speed bumps, but there’s noticeable body roll during high-speed cornering. As for downsides, the interior has a bit of a plastic feel, and its resale value isn’t as strong as the Highlander’s.

I drove the imported Edge for two years, and this car is particularly suitable for family users. In the five-seat configuration, the trunk can fit a stroller plus two 28-inch suitcases, and the panoramic sunroof makes the interior feel very spacious. Ford's signature rotary gear shifter becomes quite handy once you get used to it. The mid-to-high trim levels come with steering wheel heating and seat ventilation, which are very practical in both winter and summer. The automatic emergency braking system activated twice and genuinely helped avoid rear-end collisions. As for drawbacks, the infotainment system reacts a bit slowly, and CarPlay occasionally disconnects. In the used car market, the 2017 model is priced around 150,000 yuan, and it's advisable to avoid the early dry dual-clutch versions.

Previously researched the Ford Edge, which shares the C2 platform with the Explorer. The domestically produced version features a noticeably longer wheelbase than the overseas model, making it significantly more spacious. The third row can barely accommodate adults but isn't suitable for long trips. It offers two engine options: a 2.0T and a 2.7T V6, with the latter achieving 0-60 mph in just over 6 seconds but fuel consumption soaring to 15L. All models come standard with 7 airbags and aluminum alloy suspension, outperforming the Tiguan L in moose tests. The headlights use Hella LED modules, delivering excellent road illumination at night. The recent facelift introduced a 27-inch ultra-wide screen, reducing physical buttons and requiring some adaptation.
