The differences between Total 8000 and 9000 lie in their grade, performance, and formulation. Different grades: Currently, Total 8000 is still at the SN grade, while Total 9000 is at the SP grade. Compared to the SN grade, SP-grade engine oil has better environmental performance and can inhibit low-speed pre-ignition in engines, effectively reducing fuel consumption. Different performance: Although both are fully synthetic, Total 8000 is just a regular fully synthetic oil, while Total 9000 is a high-performance fully synthetic oil. The vehicle models they target are slightly different, and they can be selectively added according to the vehicle's requirements. Different formulations: Total 8000 mainly uses Group III base oils, while Total 9000 contains a large amount of PAO base oil, making it a better fully synthetic oil with superior performance.
