What is the difference between shock absorber oil leakage and oil seepage?

The differences between shock absorber oil leakage and oil seepage are as follows: 1. Observe the oil traces on the hydraulic cylinder of the shock absorber: If the oil traces are very light, just slightly moist, it indicates oil seepage from the shock absorber; whereas if the oil traces are deep and accompanied by a large amount of oil sludge, then it is oil leakage from the shock absorber. 2. Check the working condition of the shock absorber: Press down on the car body repeatedly with force, or drive on bumpy roads to feel the response. If the shock absorber rebounds strongly when pressing down and provides relatively good vibration filtering during driving, then it is oil seepage from the shock absorber; whereas if the shock absorber rebounds weakly when pressing down and the vibration filtering effect during driving is poor, it indicates oil leakage from the shock absorber.
