What is the difference between air recirculation and fresh air mode?

Car recirculation and fresh air modes have the following main differences: 1. Operation principle: Recirculation mode closes the airflow channel between the interior and exterior. Without the fan running, there is no airflow circulation. When the fan operates, it draws air only from inside the vehicle, creating internal air circulation. Fresh air mode uses the fan to draw outside air into the cabin, with airflow coming from outside. Even without the fan, driving motion still draws outside air into the vehicle. 2. Functions: Recirculation effectively blocks external dust and harmful gases while maintaining cabin temperature. Fresh air mode allows breathing of outside air. 3. Usage scenarios: Use recirculation during rush hour traffic, in tunnels, or on dusty roads. During prolonged highway driving when cabin air feels stale, switch to fresh air mode.
