What is the cylinder pressure of a car engine?

Automobile engine cylinder pressure: for gasoline engines, it is around 1000KPA; for diesel engines, it is around 2000KPA. Most fuel-injected engines have a cylinder pressure between 1200 and 1400kPa, while a few high-compression-ratio engines may have cylinder pressures above 1700kPa. The original design cylinder pressure of an engine mainly depends on the combustion chamber volume, the engine's compression ratio, and whether it has a supercharger. Cylinder pressure test results may show three conditions: excessively high cylinder pressure, standard compliance, or excessively low cylinder pressure. If the measured cylinder pressure exceeds the manufacturer's specified standard value, it is considered excessively high; if the measured cylinder pressure is below 80% to 85% of the manufacturer's specified standard value, it is considered excessively low.
