What engine does Hanteng Auto use?

Hanteng Auto uses a 1.5T inline 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with multi-point electronic fuel injection. It delivers a maximum horsepower of 156 PS, maximum power of 115 kW, and maximum torque of 215 Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Taking the 2020 Hanteng model as an example, it belongs to the compact SUV category with body dimensions of: length 4501mm, width 1820mm, height 1648mm, wheelbase 2600mm, front track 1560mm, rear track 1558mm, fuel tank capacity 50L, and curb weight 1410kg.
I've been driving this Hanteng X7 for three years, and its 1.5T turbocharged engine is the core component. It's perfectly adequate for daily urban commuting. The throttle response is quite intuitive, with slight hesitation during initial acceleration, but the power delivery becomes smooth once the revs build up. My model uses the in-house developed TLE4G15D engine, which I heard was co-developed with Germany's Mahle. The fuel consumption is average - around 9L/100km in city driving and drops to about 7L/100km on highways. However, it's worth noting that the engine sound insulation is mediocre, with noticeable engine bay noise when revs exceed 3,000 rpm. Although Hanteng has ceased production now, you can still see many older models on the road. For maintenance, remember to use full synthetic engine oil for better engine protection.
