The hold button on the car key means 'hold' and has two functions in a car: 1. Press and hold the hold button for a few seconds to easily open the trunk; 2. For some cars, the hold button also serves as a remote engine start button. Press and hold it for 2 to 3 seconds within the remote range, and the car will start automatically. Remote start allows you to adjust the interior temperature in advance. In winter, you can warm up the car beforehand, so the engine temperature is normal when you get in, avoiding idling wait times or engine wear due to low temperatures. The remote control range is typically no less than 50 meters, allowing you to start the car remotely from home or work.
