EV on a car refers to the pure electric driving mode of hybrid vehicles, which is a mode driven by an electric motor. This mode is not available in conventional power vehicles (conventional power refers to gasoline or diesel vehicles). The EV mode is typically equipped in pure electric vehicles or hybrid vehicles, and EV also stands for Electric Vehicle, which is the abbreviation of Electric Vehicle. Hybrid vehicles use the electric motor for driving when starting the car, and the engine intervenes after reaching a certain speed, which greatly saves fuel. While the engine is working, it charges the battery, and some models even have a kinetic energy recovery system to improve charging efficiency. Currently, hybrid vehicles represent a relatively balanced car driving method between economy and range performance.

I'm a car enthusiast, and EV stands for Electric Vehicle. I've driven many cars myself. EVs use batteries to power electric motors, replacing traditional gasoline engines, which not only means zero tailpipe emissions and is more environmentally friendly but also results in less noise and a quieter driving experience. Cost-wise, it's very economical—electricity is much cheaper than fuel, saving a significant amount of money each month. Maintenance is simpler, with no complex mechanical parts. For charging, you can install a home charging station or use public charging points, which now have high coverage in cities. To expand, EV types include pure electric models like Tesla and hybrids like the Toyota Prius, with government subsidies encouraging purchases. In short, EVs are the future trend. If you drive a lot, it's worth considering switching to one—saving money and being green.

What are the causes of tire bulging?

The causes of tire bulging are: 1. The sidewall of the tire is squeezed by hard objects, causing the sidewall cords to break; 2. Quality issues with the tire. The maintenance methods for tires are: 1. Regularly clean the stones in the tire tread; 2. Reduce exposure of the tires to direct sunlight; 3. Promptly check the tire pressure; 4. Pay attention to the maintenance of the suspension. The functions of tires are: 1. Support the entire weight of the vehicle and bear the load of the car; 2. Transmit traction and braking torque, ensuring the adhesion between the wheels and the road surface; 3. Reduce and absorb vibrations and impacts during driving, preventing severe vibrations and early damage to car components; 4. Adapt to the high-speed performance of the vehicle and reduce driving noise, ensuring safety, handling stability, comfort, and fuel efficiency.

What Causes the Engine to Sound Louder When the Air Conditioner is On?

It is normal for the engine to sound louder when the air conditioner is turned on. Running the air conditioner increases the engine load and causes the fan to operate at high speed, resulting in louder noise. Functions of the air conditioner: 1. Achieves cooling effect through the continuous phase-change cycle of the refrigerant; 2. Removes dust, odors, smoke, and toxic gases from the air inside the car, making the interior air fresher, and humidifies the air to increase relative humidity; 3. Uses engine coolant, waste heat, or heat generated by a burner as a heat source for heating. The heater warms the air, which is then blown into the car by the blower, raising the temperature at the air vents for heating purposes.

What is the reason for Toyota using dual injection?

Toyota uses dual injection for the following reasons: to improve engine efficiency, reduce exhaust emissions, enhance engine stability, and mitigate carbon buildup in the engine. Toyota's vehicle lineup includes the Camry, Highlander, RAV4, Corolla, and Vios, among others. Taking the 2021 Toyota Corolla as an example, it is a compact car with body dimensions of 4635mm in length, 1780mm in width, and 1455mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2700mm. The 2021 Toyota Corolla is equipped with a 1.2T turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum horsepower of 116PS, a maximum power of 85kW, and a maximum torque of 185Nm, paired with a 10-speed continuously variable transmission.

What are the symptoms indicating brake fluid needs replacement?

The symptoms indicating brake fluid needs replacement are: 1. The brake fluid has absorbed moisture or contains impurities; 2. When the vehicle exhibits inconsistent braking performance during normal driving, the brake fluid should be promptly replaced; 3. The wheel cylinder rubber cup is excessively swollen; 4. Brake fluid should be replaced every two years. The method for replacing brake fluid is: 1. Park the vehicle on level ground and turn off the engine, open the engine compartment hood and drain the fluid from the reservoir; 2. Use a funnel to fill the reservoir with new brake fluid; 3. Use a jack to lift the vehicle, starting with removing the rear wheels; 4. Remove the rubber dust cap on the brake caliper; 5. Use a wrench to loosen the bleeder screw and attach a rubber tube to it, connecting it to a drain bottle; 6. Have someone press the brake pedal inside the vehicle while observing the fluid drainage until the fluid level in the engine compartment reservoir reaches the lower limit.

Can a Naturally Aspirated Engine Be Converted to Turbocharged?

Naturally aspirated engines can be converted to turbocharged by installing a turbocharger, replacing pistons with lower compression ratios, and performing internal reinforcement. Otherwise, the engine cannot withstand the increased power and temperature. A turbocharger is an air compressor that enhances engine output power by increasing the compression ratio of air entering the cylinders without altering the engine's cylinder capacity. The working principle of a turbocharger involves using exhaust gases from the engine's exhaust outlet to drive the turbine wheel in the turbine housing, which is directly connected to the compressor wheel in the compressor housing. The compressor housing connects to the air filter on one end and compresses the air drawn from the filter into the engine cylinders, thereby increasing the air intake in the engine.
