What does car eco represent?

eco represents the economic mode among driving modes. Nowadays, cars have many driving modes, including "off-road mode", "sport mode", and "snow mode". The name eco is derived from the combination of Ecology (environmental protection), Conservation (energy saving), and Optimization (power). It is further divided into active and non-active eco modes. The difference lies in that the active mode has a dedicated button, while the non-active mode does not have a dedicated button and only serves as a reminder or guide. Additional information: The eco mode usually becomes ineffective under the following circumstances: 1. When the vehicle speed exceeds 120 kilometers per hour, considering the speed factor, the eco mode automatically becomes ineffective. 2. When idling in park or in N/P gear, or in manual mode, the eco mode may also become ineffective. 3. When high torque output is required, such as when climbing a slope, the engine computer will prioritize ensuring sufficient power to drive the vehicle, and the eco mode will not work either.
Car EOC actually usually refers to ECO mode, which is what we commonly call the economy mode or fuel-saving mode. Its full name is Ecology, meaning it adjusts the working mode of the engine and transmission through the electronic system to achieve fuel efficiency. When I drive with this function activated, the car becomes less aggressive, the throttle response slows down a bit, avoiding sudden acceleration and fuel waste. I remember once driving long-distance on the highway with ECO mode on the whole way, and the average fuel consumption dropped from the original 10 liters per 100 kilometers to about 8 liters, saving quite a bit of money. Additionally, ECO mode can also reduce exhaust emissions, making it environmentally friendly, especially suitable for urban commuting or daily errands. During regular car maintenance, the mechanics at the 4S shop also recommend using ECO more often on smooth roads to avoid power shortages when encountering uphill climbs or sudden acceleration. Overall, it's like a thoughtful little assistant, helping to lighten the load on both your wallet and the environment.
