What color license plates are on electric vehicles?

Electric vehicles have the following 4 types of color license plates: 1. Green license plates: These are for new energy vehicles. Green symbolizes environmental protection, which is the hallmark of electric vehicles, so green plates are the standard license plates for electric bicycles. 2. Blue license plates: Like green plates, these represent the license plates for new national standard electric bicycles, classified as non-motor vehicles. The difference between green and blue plates is just regional, with different color settings. 3. Yellow license plates: Motorcycles use yellow plates. After the new national standard, electric vehicles with speeds exceeding 25 km/h are classified as electric motorcycles, so according to regulations, they require yellow motorcycle plates. These vehicles are classified as motor vehicles, and once registered, they must be managed as motor vehicles, such as requiring insurance and a driver's license. 4. White license plates: These are temporary license plates for the transition period. The reason many electric vehicles have these plates is that there are nearly 200 million non-compliant electric vehicles currently, which are only allowed on the road for a limited time, hence they can only display white temporary license plates.
I just bought an electric vehicle with a gradient green license plate, which is the nationally unified special plate for new energy vehicles. My friend previously thought electric vehicles used the same blue or yellow plates as regular motorcycles, but they are completely different. New energy vehicle plates come in two styles: green background with black characters and gradient large green for small vehicles, with the letter D representing pure electric vehicles. Remember, the top right corner of the plate will be marked with the words 'New Energy.' The vehicle management office will verify the vehicle's certificate of conformity and invoice during registration. Note that some low-speed elderly scooters, although electric, do not meet national standards and cannot obtain green plates. Before a new vehicle hits the road, you must apply at the vehicle management office with the purchase invoice, compulsory traffic insurance, and ID card.
