As a car enthusiast, the Prado definitely falls into the category of mid-to-large-sized SUVs. It's comparable in size to models like the Audi Q7 or Mercedes-Benz GLE, with a wheelbase of around 2.8 meters, offering spacious interiors that can comfortably seat seven people. Toyota designed this model with a focus on rugged off-road capabilities, featuring a particularly solid chassis and a suspension system adapted for complex terrains, making it ideal for outdoor adventures. It also performs steadily on urban roads, with slightly higher fuel consumption but unquestionable reliability. If you upgrade to the newer models, you'll get smart features like adaptive cruise control, making it a high-value option overall.

I own a Prado at home, usually driving it to the supermarket or for outings. It falls into the mid-to-large category among SUVs, being a size larger than compact models, so extra care is needed when parking, but its cargo capacity is truly impressive. Packing luggage into the trunk is a breeze, and my family says it's very comfortable to ride in. In terms of fuel consumption, it's not particularly economical, possibly consuming 9 to 10 liters per kilometer, but it's highly durable, and maintenance is both cheap and hassle-free. When driving on dirt roads, it has strong off-road capability, and the chassis is less prone to scraping.

Does Car Acceleration Depend on Horsepower or Torque?

Car acceleration depends on wheel torque. The torque from the crankshaft needs to be transmitted to the wheels through the drivetrain system. In this process, besides the basic power indicators of the engine, the ability of the transmission to regulate engine speed and the torque amplification by the final drive must also be considered. A smaller bore-to-stroke ratio is more conducive to the engine's torque output, but without considering other factors, it is difficult to prove the car's acceleration capability. Torque is a special moment that causes an object to rotate. The engine's torque refers to the moment output from the crankshaft, which is inversely proportional to the engine speed at a fixed power. The faster the speed, the smaller the torque, and vice versa, reflecting the car's load capacity within a certain range. External torque is called torsion or external couple moment, while internal torque is called internal couple moment or simply torque.
