
Jerking during gas operation is typically caused by solenoid valve failure, with jerking categorized as either intermittent or consistent. Causes of jerking: Prolonged gas usage can clog fuel injectors. Running a full tank of petrol at highway speeds periodically may improve performance. When switching from petrol to natural gas, the altered air-fuel ratio reduces explosive force, potentially damaging the engine. Comprehensive engine and oil changes can significantly alleviate this issue. Solenoid valve damage is a primary cause of jerking, which manifests as either random occurrences or predictable instances at specific RPMs/gear shifts. Persistent jerking leads to transmission overheating, vibration, slippage, and related complications. Solutions to eliminate vehicle jerking: Start in first gear by mastering clutch engagement - follow the "quick-slow-quick" release principle. After full clutch engagement and 1-2 meters of movement, gradually increase throttle for smooth acceleration. Generally, upshift between 2000-2500 RPM and downshift around 1500 RPM (never below 1000 RPM) to prevent engine/transmission damage and excessive carbon buildup. During gear shifts, slight throttle maintenance helps balance engine speed - excessive throttle causes racing while insufficient throttle creates RPM drops and jerking. This technique is particularly useful for engines with weaker low-RPM torque characteristics.
