What are the reasons why Changan cars won't start?

Reasons why a vehicle cannot start include a dead battery, improper gear adjustment, and excessively low temperatures. Dead battery: Electricity plays a crucial role in our daily lives. If there's a power outage at home for a day, it would be a very unpleasant situation. Similarly, if a car's battery is dead, the car won't start. There are many reasons for a dead battery, such as forgetting to turn off the headlights when parking or the battery being too old. Therefore, when the car fails to start, you can check if there's an issue with the battery. Generally, a dead battery manifests as the starter beginning to rotate when you first try to start the car, but the speed is insufficient and weak. Improper gear adjustment: Drivers of manual transmission cars usually don't encounter this problem. This issue occurs with automatic transmission vehicles. Since automatic transmission cars don't require operating the gear lever, it's easy to forget to put the car in Park (P) when parking and then attempt to start the car without noticing. As a result, the car won't start. Excessively low temperatures: In low temperatures, the viscosity of gasoline engine oil also increases, meaning the oil's fluidity worsens. Engine oil helps the engine operate. If, in low temperatures, the crankshaft cannot reach the speed required for starting, it won't meet the standard to start the engine. The same goes for gasoline. When temperatures are low, the engine's heat absorption affects the temperature of the air-fuel mixture, causing most of the fuel to enter the cylinder in liquid form, resulting in an overly lean mixture. Naturally, the car won't start.
I've been driving a Changan car for several years, and the issue of not starting is all too common. The most frequent cause is battery problems—either it's aged or out of power, and insufficient voltage prevents the engine from turning over. I've encountered this many times myself. In summer, the battery drains quickly due to the heat, while in winter, the cold makes it harder to start. I recommend using a multimeter to check the voltage; if it's below 12 volts, it's time for a replacement. Fuel system failures are also common, such as a faulty fuel pump causing poor fuel delivery or clogged fuel lines from using low-quality gasoline. Spark plugs fouled with carbon deposits can also prevent ignition. I remember the last time my car had this issue, it was a bad ignition coil, and a small investment in a new one fixed the problem. Don’t slack on regular maintenance—change the oil and check the fuel filter periodically, and turn off all electrical devices before shutting down the engine to save power. If the car suddenly stalls on the road, pull over safely, turn on the hazard lights, and prioritize safety by calling a tow truck instead of pushing your luck. Changan cars are durable, but neglecting these minor issues can lead to major problems.
