The residential address on the driver's license is part of the motor vehicle driver's information. To change the driver's information, an application for a replacement license must be submitted. According to the "Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driver's Licenses," the following circumstances require the motor vehicle driver to apply for a replacement license at the vehicle management office of the issuing authority within 30 days: changes to the motor vehicle driver's information as recorded on the driver's license within the jurisdiction of the vehicle management office; or if the driver's license is damaged and unreadable. When applying, the driver must fill out the application form and submit their identity proof and driver's license.
