Honda 7-seater models include the Honda CR-V, Civic, Greiz, and others. Introduction to Honda CR-V: The Honda CR-V is a classic urban SUV model produced by Dongfeng Honda. On July 10, 2020, the new Dongfeng Honda CR-V was officially launched, offering a total of 17 variants. The new model retains the design of the overseas version, with minor optimizations in interior configuration, and continues to provide both hybrid and fuel-powered versions. Introduction to Civic: On July 11, 1972, the first-generation Civic was introduced. One of its hatchback versions featured a separately opening trunk design. The powertrain was equipped with Honda's EB series 1.2L 2-valve inline four-cylinder engine, delivering a maximum power of 60 horsepower and a maximum torque of 93 N·m. Introduction to Greiz: On September 22, 2015, Dongfeng Honda officially unveiled the concept car of its new entry-level compact model, the Greiz (GREIZ). The production version of this compact sedan was launched on November 7, 2015. The production model is powered by a 1.5L Earth Dreams engine and shares the same platform as the Guangzhou Automobile Honda City.

Currently, Honda's seven-seater models in the domestic market mainly include the Odyssey and Elysian MPVs. I just bought an Odyssey last year, primarily because of its flexible space. The second-row seats can be adjusted forward, backward, and sideways, making it especially convenient to install child safety seats when going out with kids. The third row can comfortably accommodate adults, and when folded, the trunk still has enough space for a stroller and luggage. I also test-drove the Elysian, which feels more business-oriented with thicker seats, but it costs tens of thousands more. Both models use a hybrid system, achieving around 6 liters per 100 kilometers in city driving, which is much more fuel-efficient than many SUVs. However, the low ground clearance is indeed a drawback—you need to be careful not to scrape the undercarriage on rough roads.

With two kids and elderly parents often traveling together, a seven-seater is a must. After comparing Honda models, the Odyssey and Elysion stand out as the most practical choices. The Odyssey offers great value for money, featuring a fantastic magic seat design that allows the third row to fold completely flat when not in use. The Elysion is more luxurious, with second-row seats that include leg rests, though it has a slightly smaller trunk. Both hybrid versions are quiet and provide smooth acceleration. A downside is the average sound insulation, with noticeable wind noise at high speeds. Last week, we went camping with six adults, fitting in tents and a grill—though the third row can feel a bit cramped after a long ride.
