There are three gear introductions. Press the brake: Hold the button on the left and pull it backward to shift into neutral, then pull it further backward to shift into drive. Pull to the left: You can manually shift up or down. Return it to the center, hold the release button next to it, and push it forward to shift into reverse. P gear: To shift back into P gear, press the brake and press the button once to shift into P gear. Additional information: All gears: The automatic transmission gears include P, R, N, D, 2 or S, L or 1. Parking gear: P gear is the parking gear, also known as the parking position. Other gears: R is reverse, N is neutral, D is drive, also known as the driving gear.
I've driven the Fengxing T5 Evo, and it has a comprehensive set of gears: P for parking, R for reverse, N for neutral, and D for drive. D is the most commonly used, as the automatic transmission shifts gears based on speed, making it ideal for daily commutes in traffic or highway cruising. N is suitable for brief stops at traffic lights, while R requires careful use of the rearview mirror to ensure safety when reversing. There's also a sport mode—pressing the button makes gear shifts more responsive, which is great for overtaking on mountain roads. The manual mode is quite fun too, using paddle shifters to change gears, simulating the control feel of experienced drivers. The gear design is simple and intuitive, with buttons and a lever, making it easy for beginners to get the hang of it after a few drives. Just remember to shift into P before engaging the handbrake when parking to avoid rolling. Overall, the gear layout is well thought out, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission for smooth shifts without jerking, offering both economy and comfort.
