When I was comparing cars before, I looked at the Vision and the Emgrand. Even though both are Geely's own brands, their positioning is completely different. The Vision is positioned as an entry-level commuter car, with an out-the-door price of around 60,000 to 70,000 yuan. It has sufficient features but feels plasticky, and the small trunk opening makes it inconvenient for loading large items. The Emgrand costs about 20,000 to 30,000 yuan more, but it has more soft-touch materials inside, an extra two fingers of legroom in the back seats, and a more stable chassis at high speeds. In terms of power, the Vision's 1.5L engine is fuel-efficient but struggles when overtaking, while the turbocharged version of the new Emgrand has much more responsive acceleration. If you ask me, the Vision is a solid choice if you're on a tight budget, but if you want a more comfortable ride, go for the Emgrand.

I had a chance to test drive my neighbor's newly purchased Emgrand, and the difference compared to my old Vision is quite noticeable. The Emgrand's windshield has a more pronounced rake angle, with A-pillars that don't obstruct visibility as much, making lane changes much more reassuring. The infotainment screen is two inches larger than the Vision's, and with built-in navigation, there's no need for a phone mount anymore. The door closing sound feels solid, unlike the tinny feel of the Vision. The Emgrand's trunk is three centimeters deeper, allowing a stroller to stand upright without the wheels getting stuck. However, the Vision comes with reverse parking guidelines on its camera, which is more beginner-friendly. If you frequently use the car to shuttle kids around, the more expensive Emgrand is indeed the more practical choice.

These two cars are often seen in the repair shop for maintenance. The oil and three-filter change for the Vision costs just over 300 yuan, while the Emgrand costs about 100 yuan more but has a maintenance interval that's 1,000 kilometers longer. For chassis components, the Vision often needs shock absorber bushings replaced, while the Emgrand's rear suspension structure is more complex, resulting in higher labor costs. The transmission oil for the Vision needs to be changed every 40,000 kilometers, while the Emgrand's 6AT requires a more expensive type of oil. If you plan to drive for more than five years, the Emgrand's maintenance costs actually work out to be more economical in the long run.

Last time I helped a relative negotiate, I got to know these two models well. The Vision offers big cash discounts, lots of freebies, and five additional maintenance services, while the Emgrand has a firm price but you can ask for practical items like a dash cam. The Emgrand's infotainment system supports phone screen mirroring, making it convenient to play cartoons when picking up kids from school. The Vision's light clusters are halogen, and upgrading to LED costs extra, whereas the Emgrand's sub-top trim comes with LED daytime running lights. The Vision has a mechanical key that's easy to lose, while the Emgrand's card key can be tucked into a wallet, so you won't forget it.

I worked at a leasing company for five years, and both cars have decent rental rates but receive quite different feedback from customers. The Vision can run an extra 50-60 kilometers on a full tank, making it popular among ride-hailing drivers. The Emgrand has better sound insulation and clearer Bluetooth calls, so business travelers on short-term rentals tend to prefer it. The Vision's light-colored fabric seats get dirty easily and often require seat covers, while the Emgrand's black faux leather is easier to maintain. The Vision uses Linglong tires, which are durable but noisy, whereas the Emgrand comes with quieter and more comfortable Giti tires.

What is the power of the Nissan Qashqai cigarette lighter?

The power of the Nissan Qashqai cigarette lighter is 12V-100W. Here are some common mistakes when using the cigarette lighter: 1. Not unplugging external devices when starting the car: External devices connected to the cigarette lighter can easily burn out due to the high current surge during vehicle startup, especially MP3 players and USB drives. Therefore, it's recommended to unplug them after use and reconnect them after the car has started. 2. Not unplugging external devices when turning off the car: Depending on the vehicle's settings, some cigarette lighters remain powered even after the car is turned off, which can lead to unnecessary battery drain if external devices are left plugged in for extended periods.

Is the Elantra CVT transmission equipped with a steel belt or a chain?

The Elantra CVT transmission uses a chain. Here is relevant information about CVT: 1. The principle of CVT involves an input shaft on one side and an output shaft on the other, connected by a pressure steel belt in the middle. By adjusting the working radius of the pressure steel belt, different transmission ratios are achieved. The pressure steel belt operates between two sets of cone discs. One half of each set of cone discs can move within a small range. When the cone discs move toward the center, they squeeze the pressure steel belt, increasing its working radius and thus enabling continuously variable transmission. 2. The pressure steel belt consists of hundreds of special high-strength steel plates arranged horizontally, connected by two sets of high-strength flexible steel belt rings. This design ensures both flexibility and rigidity during rotation. In fact, power transmission relies more on thrust than pull, and the horizontally arranged steel plates ensure sufficient friction. Combined with the strong squeezing force from the cone discs, this effectively guarantees power transmission. 3. The engine can maintain the maximum power speed continuously, allowing it to operate at the most fuel-efficient speed. The CVT transmission changes the output shaft speed without interrupting power, unlike traditional transmissions that cut power during gear shifts to change gear ratios. Currently, the fuel efficiency of CVT transmissions is only slightly worse than that of manual transmissions.

What Causes the Hyundai Elantra to Shake at Startup Before Returning to Normal?

Severe engine carbon deposits, ignition system failure, unstable oil pressure, and aging engine components can all cause the Elantra to shake at startup. Severe engine carbon deposits: When there is excessive carbon buildup inside the engine, the gasoline sprayed by the cold-start fuel injector is largely absorbed by the carbon deposits, resulting in an overly lean air-fuel mixture during cold starts. This makes starting difficult, and the engine only starts easily once the carbon deposits have absorbed enough gasoline to reach saturation. After startup, the gasoline adsorbed on the carbon deposits is drawn into the combustion chamber by the engine's vacuum suction, making the air-fuel mixture too rich. The constantly fluctuating air-fuel mixture causes idle shaking after a cold start. The lower the temperature, the more fuel is required for a cold start, and the presence of carbon deposits significantly affects the smoothness of the cold start. It is necessary to clean the fuel system and check if the idle air control valve has carbon buildup, which should be cleaned if present. Ignition system failure: Check the condition of the spark plugs, high-voltage wires, and ignition coils. Poor performance of the ignition system or weak spark plug firing can also lead to this issue. Inspect the spark plugs for excessive carbon buildup and replace them if necessary. Unstable oil pressure: If the fuel pump's supply pressure is abnormal or the intake pressure sensor's readings are incorrect or malfunctioning, it can cause the car to shake. Check the oil pressure and replace the components if needed. Aging engine components: Car shaking can also be related to worn engine mounts (also known as engine mounts or rubber mounts). Engine mounts act as the engine's shock absorption system, absorbing minor vibrations during operation. If the engine mounts are faulty, these vibrations can transfer to the steering wheel and the cabin, causing shaking at idle. Replace the components if necessary.
