I've driven a Tiida for ten years, and the most noticeable difference between the old and new models is the visual upgrade. The new version features Nissan's latest V-motion design language on the front fascia, with a larger grille and smoked treatment, completely ditching the rounded, friendly look of the old model. Inside the cabin, the steering wheel has changed from a four-spoke to a three-spoke flat-bottom design, and the outdated plastic-feeling dashboard has been replaced by an 8-inch floating touchscreen with CarPlay support – a very practical upgrade. The powertrain remains a 1.6L naturally aspirated engine paired with a CVT, but engineers have recalibrated the transmission logic, significantly improving low-speed jerkiness. Safety features see major upgrades, with the new model adding lane departure warning and autonomous emergency braking. The wheels have also been upgraded from 16-inch to 17-inch, resulting in much better tire noise control.
