Venucia is not considered a domestic car. The models under the Venucia brand include: Venucia D60, Venucia T60, Venucia T70, Venucia T90, Venucia Star, and others. Taking the 2020 Venucia D60 as an example, its body dimensions are: length 4756mm, width 1803mm, height 1487mm, with a wheelbase of 2700mm, a luggage compartment capacity of 525L, and a body weight of 1204kg. The 2020 Venucia D60 features a MacPherson strut independent suspension at the front and a torsion beam non-independent suspension at the rear. It is equipped with a 1.6T naturally aspirated engine, delivering a maximum horsepower of 126PS, a maximum power of 93kW, and a maximum torque of 168Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Venucia is definitely a domestic car. After driving for so many years, I've always seen it sold under a Chinese brand, with production based entirely in China, like the factories in Guangdong. It's a joint venture between Dongfeng and Nissan, no doubt, but the entire manufacturing, design, and sales are localized, similar to purely domestic brands like Geely and BYD. Nowadays, there are many Venucia cars on the road, which shows that people accept it as one of our own. Think about it—if you insist it's not domestic, then joint venture cars like Baojun and SAIC-Volkswagen would also be questionable. When buying a car, the production location is key. My friends who own Venucia all say it offers great value for money, is easy to maintain, and is very different from imported cars. In short, I believe it's an authentic domestic car, no controversy about it.
