Although vibrations are more noticeable compared to a twin-cylinder, the tubular steel trellis frame does a decent job of mitigating them. My measurements showed handlebar vibrations of around 0.3mm at an 80km/h cruise speed, which is within an acceptable range. Upgrading to thicker handlebar grips can further reduce vibrations.

A single cylinder is more than enough for commuting. The biggest fear when riding in traffic every day is overheating. However, the 250SR has excellent cooling design, with its cooling fin area increased by 30% compared to the old model. Last week, in 35-degree weather, I was stuck in traffic for half an hour, and the water temperature gauge just reached the middle line. There are air ducts under the fuel tank, so hot air doesn't blow onto your legs when waiting at a red light. If it were a twin-cylinder bike stuck in traffic, the heat would be unbearable. It's also fuel-efficient, with a full 12-liter tank lasting 350 km before the fuel light comes on, saving 1 liter compared to similar twin-cylinder models.

When I compared single-cylinder and twin-cylinder bikes at the dealership, the single-cylinder's exhaust pipe was noticeably thinner than the twin's, giving the bike a cleaner side profile. In terms of handling, the single-cylinder bike tips into corners faster and is more agile when filtering through traffic. A mechanic showed me the crankshaft structure - the single-cylinder has just one set of counterweights, making it significantly lighter than twins. However, vibrations at high RPMs are noticeable, though some shops offer balancing weight installation services.
