Is it safe to store alcohol in a car?

Storing alcohol in a car is not recommended as it poses safety risks to both drivers and passengers. Alcohol is highly flammable and volatile. If stored in glass bottles with convex lens-like shapes that focus sunlight, it may ignite the alcohol and cause severe explosions. Precautions for using alcohol as a car disinfectant include: 1. Alcohol being a flammable substance, immediately wipe dry after spraying; 2. Store alcohol in well-ventilated areas with windows open; 3. Focus on spraying surfaces rather than hard-to-reach interior spots; 4. Avoid smoking in the car after disinfection to prevent explosions or fires; 5. Refrain from using alcohol to clean leather seats.
To be honest, I usually pay attention to the safety of items stored in cars. It's really not recommended to keep alcohol in the car. Especially in summer, when the temperature inside the car can soar to 60-70°C, alcohol is prone to volatilize into vapor when heated. If there's any ignition source in the car, such as a lighter or an electrical fault, it can instantly cause a fire or explosion. I know a friend who had a bottle of disinfectant alcohol in the back seat. After prolonged exposure to the sun, the bottle burst and caused a small fire, completely destroying the car. For safety reasons, it's best not to store alcohol-based products in the car. If you need to use it temporarily, choose a well-sealed small bottle and place it in a cool spot in the trunk, but don't leave it there for too long. A car is a confined space with high risks, so it's more convenient to use other disinfectant alternatives on a regular basis.
