Is it necessary to install a car alarm?

If you often park your car on the street, it is necessary to install a car alarm. If the car is parked in a residential area, not installing a car alarm may not be a big problem. Below is the installation method for a car anti-theft device: 1. First, check whether the original car's lock, turn signals, side door lights, and engine are working properly. 2. Then connect all the plug-in wires to the main unit's connectors and organize the wiring harness (Note: leave some flexibility for the wire connections to the main unit's plugs). 3. Find the wiring locations in the vehicle, which are generally under the steering wheel and inside the protective panel below the A-pillar. Some models may require locating wires under the driver's side foot pedal. 4. Next, use a multimeter and a test light to identify the car's wiring (positive power, ACC, lock ON wire, +12V wire, turn signal wire, foot brake switch wire, door contact switch wire, ground wire, central locking signal wire). 5. Finally, follow the installation diagram provided by the manufacturer to correctly strip, connect, and wrap the corresponding wires with insulating tape.
