Now, when vehicle owners go for their annual inspection, they will not receive a paper inspection label upon passing the inspection. Instead, they can directly obtain the electronic inspection label via the Traffic Management 12123 app. 2021 annual inspection label new regulations: The latest policy combines the vehicle annual inspection with the environmental protection inspection label. As long as the vehicle passes the annual inspection, there is no need to obtain a separate environmental protection label. Equal validity: The electronic inspection label and the paper label have the same legal effect. Vehicles that have obtained the electronic inspection label do not need to display the paper label. Traffic police will verify the vehicle inspection status through police enforcement terminals during law enforcement. Penalties for not having the inspection label during checks: According to Article 95 of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, if a motor vehicle does not display the inspection compliance label while driving on the road, the driver may be fined 50 yuan and have 1 point deducted from their license.
