Is It Necessary to Clean Sludge in a New Car?
1 Answers
Sludge cleaning in a new car is necessary because engine sludge may block the oil passages of the engine or even clog the oil pump, leading to severe consequences. Effects of Sludge: Sludge is a dark brown or black viscous substance formed during engine operation. It adheres to critical internal parts of the engine, hindering normal lubrication. Types of Sludge: Sludge can be categorized into high-temperature sludge and low-temperature sludge. The primary cause of high-temperature sludge is inferior engine oil, which polymerizes into larger molecules during high-temperature operation, thickening the oil and eventually forming sludge. Low-temperature sludge formation depends on fuel. During low-temperature or short-distance operation, moisture and fuel in the crankcase may not fully evaporate, leading to emulsification in the engine and sludge formation.
