How to Upgrade the Infotainment System?

Enter the navigation settings interface, click on system upgrade, and the system will automatically enter the Wince interface. Click on CEexplorer. After entering wince, copy the prepared files from the USB drive to the corresponding directory of the system. Set the navigation path to complete the upgrade.
There are several scenarios for infotainment system upgrades. For newer models with internet connectivity, simply locate the system update option in settings and connect to WiFi to automatically download the installation package. Remember not to turn off the engine during the upgrade, as unstable battery voltage can cause issues. Our shop frequently encounters customers whose DIY upgrades fail, mostly due to power interruption during the process. Older models require manual USB upgrades - first check the official website for the correct upgrade package, format the USB drive to FAT32, extract files to the root directory, then plug it into the car's USB port to trigger the upgrade prompt. Once when helping a neighbor with his old Tiguan, I discovered the navigation map package required separate download - a whopping 16GB, and the wrong USB choice made the process painfully slow. I recommend backing up contacts before upgrading, as I've experienced complete loss of call records post-upgrade.
