How to turn on the wipers of Mercedes-Benz C260?

Turn the wiper switch to the left first gear to activate the rain-sensing wipers. Then turn to another gear, which is the automatic wiper gear.
When I first learned to drive a Mercedes-Benz C260, it took me a while to figure out the windshield wiper switch. The lever on the right side of the steering wheel is key: a light upward flick makes the wipers sweep once; pushing it down and holding it in place activates low-speed continuous wiping; pushing it all the way down switches to high-speed mode. There's a small button at the top of the lever—pressing it sprays washer fluid while the wipers sweep a few times. Before using it for the first time, it's best to test the functions on a sunny day to ensure they work properly. When driving in the rain, don’t wait until it’s pouring to turn them on—test them early to avoid blurred vision. Also, remember to check the wiper rubber blades for cracks or wear and replace them promptly to prevent scratching the windshield. Safety comes first—familiarizing yourself with the controls helps you stay calm during heavy rain.
